Works for a while. Then my genius figured out how to rip it apart by the velcro, which probably should have been on top of the suitcase, not the flap, which was rolled up. If your dog is calmer than mine. I would recommend this case. If your dog loves running as much as I do, this might not be a good idea. Instead, give the money to charity.

Over 42 inch metal cage for my puppy who suffers greatly from separation anxiety. She pulled each sheet, towel, and blanket through the wires and ripped them apart. So far this lid fits so well that it can't pull anything through. Note the velcro straps though, they were tucked in once and she removed a small piece from one.

I will add a photo later but I put this on my dog's cage before we put blankets on it but the dog grabbed it and gnawed it. We put our dog in her cage for 10 minutes to take a break from playing with the kids and she was able to pull the cover through the cage and tear 1/4 of a side to shreds. Looks like we need a really strong coating.

When this arrived it seemed very sturdy and fit my poodle's wire cage perfectly. I read reviews that other "shredders" couldn't shred this one, so I decided to give it a try because the price was right. Unfortunately, in less than 3 hours, my little "shredder" destroyed the zippers and made several holes around the edges. Thought it was the first. Until day 2 when my dog tugged on the interior Velcro straps (they lay beneath the cover close to the drawer when not attached) which allowed him to pull part of the cover into the drawer. Back then, she ate zippers and velcro. The next time she managed to take a small piece of the top (which was folded over the top of the drawer as she had eaten the Velcro to hold it in place) and pull the entire front into the drawer. The cover looks good quality but there is a significant design flaw. Be on the right side of the drawer when facing it, which doesn't work where I have the drawer in the room (the window would open to the wall, which is kind of counterintuitive). I thought I could just "flip" the lid, but the other side doesn't fully unroll.
