Type of review

I like that it's quiet. Obviously slower than other types of heaters, but I have issues with constant noise so it's not a problem. Came with badly bent fins. However, for this reason I am considering a return. [Edit for four months: Lights indicate it's on, but now there's no heating.]

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No insurance

Works well, but room size matters.

We have had this heater for a few weeks now and have tried it in a number of places. I first tried it in a room of about 300 square meters. ft. and you couldn't feel the difference in air temperature unless you were a few feet away. I then tried it in a small room (less than 150ft) and it heated the room well for 2 hours and comfortably all night (had to turn the power down to about 1/2 power).

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • So far so good

Works well, minus 2 stars for the smell

This is a normal radiator, the accuracy of the heat setting is unusually good, you can really fine tune the room. However, minus 2 stars for that nasty toxic chemical smell that emanates when it's on. Smells like solder, possibly mixed with something else. I'm not sure what that smell is, but I really hope it's not solder. I currently have it maxed out in a ventilated area, trying to burn off the smell so I can use it in a poorly ventilated space.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Damaged

Don't buy this heater if it's not all the money you can afford.

you get what you pay for. Light weight doesn't mean a lot of oil inside. Doesn't generate much heat but gets hot but nothing compared to my oil filled DeLonghi radiator. I need a third heater and that will be a DeLonghi - better spend the extra $20-$30 and buy something that works better, heats better and is cheaper to run. Revain's base is twice as light as any of the major brands - again, this is because it contains half the oil.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • good but not great

Quiet, continuous heating

This was my first oil filled radiator heater and I am impressed. I bought this to replace a ceramic heater because I was tired of the noise and short lifespan of ceramic heaters. This radiator is absolutely quiet, efficient and durable. I especially like the fact that it has two different controls, one controls how hot it gets and the other how long it stays on. It really is "set and forget" as I no longer pay attention to the temperature in my low-end bedroom. My next purchase will be the same

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No paint required

So far so good fits heater

The heater works well so far, although I've only been able to test it for a few hours in one day (still hot in the south but hot in the morning). a little bit cold). The packaging needs some tweaking as I bent one of the edges of one of the ribs (which appears to be just cosmetic damage and I was able to mostly straighten it out). I had a hard time having one of the legs removed (it was clogged in the ribs, namely the bent one mentioned above) and one wing nut wouldn't tighten (replaced the nut
