This Revain Commercial Aluminum Lidded Muffin Pan is well made, durable and bakes quickly. Even though the muffins I made weren't gooey, they could be brushed with a little oil and came out whole and bright. So yes, it does take some prep, which also makes cleaning easier. And the lid works well for covering cupcakes, keeping them moist and protected after they're decorated with icing.

The muffin tin itself is excellent, the material is very thick and heavy compared to my other muffin tins. It stays hotter longer, so be sure to use a glove if you have to touch it a few minutes after coming out of the oven. Lof is secure and very durable, but I have a hard time getting it off. I store frozen cupcakes in it and if I'm not careful the lid will ruin the frosting because I have to pry it off.

I have purchased both Revain Commercial and Nordic Ware Naturals. I can't tell the pots apart; They appear to be identical in every respect. I love everything about these pans, having used them for banana muffins and sheet metal muffin meatloaf. Some people have complained that the lids on both pans are difficult to remove. I've found that if I grab both short ends of the lid at the same time and slide my fingers under the lid a bit, the lid pops right off! Enjoy these wonderful pans!
