Problems with kitchen and dining orders

The first order I received was 1/3 cup missing so I asked for a replacement. The replacement came quickly but it was a 1/4 cup with no hand attached. Luckily I haven't returned my original order yet, so I replaced the broken 1/4 cup in my replacement order with a 1/4 cup in the original order. I paid more money for these measuring cups thinking they would hold up over time, but I'm not sure they do. All blades are in good condition.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Spoons are great, measuring cups not so much.

Measuring spoons are perfect in every respect. They are heavy and made of durable stainless steel. In contrast, measuring cups are made of lighter stainless steel. The handles are long, which is good, but they're not very strong. The handles are easy to tie. Measuring spoons are perfect in every way. They are heavy and made of durable stainless steel. Definitely lower quality

I was specifically looking for this brand as I have had a set of measuring cups for 17 years. I lost one of the mugs so I ordered this brand because they were of the highest quality and I know the stainless steel quality varies greatly between brands especially those made in China. Should have read the reviews before ordering. The handles in my original set are nicely rounded and much heavier stainless steel and I believe they are stamped 18/8. It's not even that. Shame on you Amco, it's goingโ€ฆ

Unreliable, broke 9 months after purchase

I originally bought these to have a durable stainless steel measuring cup/spoon set. While the stainless steel itself was good, it wasn't solid in large chunks. They decided to glue two pieces of steel together instead of a stronger structure. Obviously this glue is not durable as my 1 cup measuring cup broke today. All 4 pieces larger than 1 tablespoon are the same product design so I'll see how long it takes for the others to fall apart as well. I'm not too rough with the pieces, I don't even

The quality has gone down

We bought a set of these many (20+?) years ago and we really liked it. Simple design. Well done. Easy to use and clean. We don't need "soft" handles on measuring cups or spoons, and we don't need crevices for leftovers to hide. They still look almost new after all these years. It was nice to see they were still available when we wanted another set. The new kit is much thinner metal and the edges are sharper: I had to polish them with a buffing/abrasive wheel. Not sure if the stainless steelโ€ฆ
