Get ready to buy a new FX-2027 or better

I would love to give it a high rating but I can't because I can't get it to work. When I turn it on I get an SE error which is a sensor issue. That could mean a few things, but I checked to make sure the tip was inserted properly and that was it. Tried various tips, didn't help. I measured the resistance from the tip to pin 2, it came out 0.1 ohms, which is below the 0.2 threshold, so everything is fine, but then I looked under the hood. All cables are ok. incorrectly assembled. According to…

Amazing Soldering Station

I have been using a Hakko FM-203 dual station module at work for many years. I ended up pulling the trigger and purchasing the FX-951 Single Station for home use. It uses the tips and pins of the same series. The tips heat up very quickly, go into sleep mode and seem to last forever. At home I restore old radios and old hi-fi equipment. A range of soldering equipment is required, from large, powerful soldering irons to small soldering irons like this one. I can get into tight spots if needed…

Great product for welding and soldering

I've been looking for a good quality, inexpensive soldering station and I think it's great. What I like about it is how quickly it heats up. From cold to 800F+ in about 10 seconds. The sleep function works great. Remember that you must insert the tip very deeply into the mount so that it hooks into the electrical connector. If the station reads E-5, it probably means the tip wasn't inserted deep enough. If you have an e-5, place the tip, white stripe side, into the holder on a hard surface and…
