Replaces the hand tightening nut

My new kitchen faucet would not tighten with the supplied spring toothed hand tightening knob. The crane rocked. I disconnected the hoses and installed this nut and the faucet doesn't rock.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor issues

Didn't fit! in Rough Plumbing

Other people said they used this to replace their Glacier Bay quick mount but it didn't fit mine. I don't know if I had a broken one or something but I ended up using two washers to allow for a quick repair and then it worked perfectly so I can't go back but oh well.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Reliability

Replaced Fastmount Glacier Bay!

I've had the luxury of dealing with a disassembled Glacier Bay quick mount (see picture) and my faucet was pretty loose. I didn't want to buy another Glacier Bay Fastmount because the design sucks and also triple the price of this one! If you're having trouble with your Glacier Bay Fastmount not tightening, do yourself a favor and order this and discard the old one. one in the bin where it belongs!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Obsolete

Brass ring is very small for something that needs tightening to hold the bottom of the faucet under the counter and then tighten the three screws. If there was twice as much brass it would still be a bit small. My application called for a 1-1/4" nut, and while it was the specified size, it was too small for the kitchen sink faucet threads. I ended up just using the washing machine and buying another product to adapt to my needs.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
