All on or all off. NO modulation!

I bought three of these to replace all the external tube bibs. Boy I'm sorry! Now I have to replace them with ones that actually work. They cannot modulate the flow rate, they flow to the maximum, or they don't flow at all. I am very disappointed to say the least!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expandable

Looks good but typical junk

Chinese junk. Why is it so hard to find decent stuff these days? As already mentioned, the screw holding the rubber washer is obviously defective. This leads to leaks and the impossibility of repairing a rusty screw.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Why is quality so hard to find now?

Works so far but when you try to turn it on you have to turn the knob 1 1/2 turns until a small trickle comes out. This is a long process. I went to an old burned down house and stole a valve from the yard. The valve is at least 20 years old and still better than new.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • A few minor things

Washer and bolt keep falling out

Installed and was initially happy with the function but started leaking after a month. I removed the stem and found that the rubber washer and bolt were gone. I happened to have another 3/4" version of the same stem and replaced it. Less than two weeks later it's leaking again and of course the bolt and washer are missing. I believe the stem has too much travel and is crushing the washer and the Screw just loosens Poor design I have to replace with a facet of HD.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Disappointed - despite good and heavy quality

Disappointing - although good and heavy quality the valve is either open or closed, there is no way to fine tune the flow or set it to a trickle anything but full. So you turn the knob a full turn and the water doesn't come out just for the valve to open and flow completely. When shutting down it's the same, you can't regulate the flow and abruptly shutting off the flow from full to zero creates a 'water hammer' in my pipes every time. would not buy again

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost never

worked great now leaking

I've been installing this for about 2 years. Only use it occasionally - maybe a few times a month. As others have noted, it looks well made. Contrary to what one commenter said, this isn't a fully open or fully closed valve, but it worked smoothly. However, the last time I used it, the hose attached to it was pressurized and I can't crank it hard enough to keep it from leaking. And not just a drop, but a continuous stream. Not sure what happened. Maybe something got into the pipe and got stuck…

Fluctuating water flow

Bought two of these to replace two old faucets that would eventually dispense less water. was difficult. Much to my disappointment, the above faucets performed even worse than my old ones. It is noteworthy that we have excellent water pressure. Most disappointed. A complete waste of money. Not recommended. 17th of September; 2020. A simple solution to the above. Should have posted earlier. There is an initial and noticeable drop in pressure, but when you adjust it a second time the pressure…
