You get what you pay for. The thread on this fell off when installing the 7th nut. I had to choose a rivet that ruined a hole in the metal.

Small spikes - very weak metal. I broke the one that came with the tool, figured it was my fault so I ordered and paid for a new one. In general, the tool itself works well.

Most rivet nut kits don't have a mandrel that big. I was impressed by the low price, but when there were ten studs in the set, the deal got even better. Squeezing them together with a standard length riveting tool is a little tricky, but doable. I'll end up attaching a few pieces of pipe to the tool's arms for added leverage when I start installing more of this.

Summary: Rivet nuts are really useful in two situations: 1) you can't get to the back to install and/or tighten/loosen the nut, 2) you want thread threading into material that is too thin to thread directly. Use them with the Amjoy Rivet Tool below. Observation: This is a mandrel for an M12 rivet nut (metric 12 mm).
