Improved WiFi Performance

This is a better adapter than the built in WiFi adapter and antenna in my laptop. This improved my connection speed, allowing me to surf the web and stream videos faster.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Expensive

Another great product

This Wi-Fi extender was the perfect solution to boost the signal in certain areas of my home with hard to reach terrestrial internet signal. I would recommend device manufacturers a better grip extension solution, which is very flimsy.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Suitable for

Great little adapter... But Windows 8.1 driver is missing

I look forward to Amped releasing a Windows 8.1 driver for this adapter. Windows 8.1 recognizes the Realtek RTL8191SU chip and installs the driver, but the adapter does not work with either a static or DHCP-assigned IP address. At the moment it communicates with my wireless printer by MAC address.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not bad

This product does not (currently) work with Windows 8.1.

This product does not (currently) work with Windows 8.1. Make sure your operating system is correct. It was easy to set up and trying to use it just didn't work because I'm using Windows 8.1. Once they update the drive or whatever it should be, that will be great. I love Amped's tech support, they've been very helpful.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Disappear

bad design on mesh products

this has to be the worst product design I've seen in a long time, the clip just fits the surface, according to the documentation it's not for RT but it seems for thinner ones Having made the tablet then I snapped it in place as soon as I took it off and the rubber protector just fell off because the clip just fits if you just touch it, it bounces seems to amplify the signal so what if if it weren't for a bad and cheap assembly, this can be a good product

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I use my tablet to reset the network every 5 minutes (name unknown). After installing this USB network adapter, I didn't turn off the network for 2 days. Exactly the same settings as before the installation. It's a really great solution for those tiny Wi-Fi adapters that need to fit in a small tablet form factor. Installation takes less than a minute and is automatic. Best damn tech I've bought in a year!

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Didn't do what was advertised

Just waste of money, had trouble connecting to a router less than 40ft away. Not only was the signal strength weaker than my laptop's built-in receiver, it kept getting disconnected and sometimes just stopped working. I had to restart the laptop for it to recognize the device again. I was worried it was an issue with my laptop and not this device, but I tried it on my friend's laptop and got the exact same results. Buyers be careful, do not buy this item, you might throw your money in the hole…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some minor things
