🚀 Enhance Stability and Reduce Vibrations with Anchor 2827 Engine Mount Review

My 2000 Saturn SC1 runs smooth as glass now. I forgot how quiet and vibration-free it was supposed to be. This product fitted perfectly and was easy to install. I had to replace the bolts but found them on ebay. I hope this lasts another 20 years.

This is a cheap alternative to the OEM. However, OEM just works better. You will need to drill the bottom screw holes for this to fit and it usually takes a week for this mount to break and give you a smooth idle. OEM is more suitable for direct fit and smooth out of the box. However, this is part of the price. All in all, it depends on how much $$$ you want to spend. This product is fine.

PRO: Price CONS: Short lifespan, improper fit. Most Saturn engine mounts seem to fail within a few years, including the OEM Saturn mount. Still, this part broke down after about 12-15 months of driving through the average "soccer mom". While the price is great, I would pay 50% more for a part that lasts over 2 years. I agree with the other reviewer that the part didn't fit properly. Chassis hole mounts were too far apart. I had to cut the dremel about 1/16" to fit without stripping the threads…
