Perfect for the countertop fridge

I use it to keep iced tea in the fridge. When I got my new French door refrigerator, my old jugs were taking up too much vertical space. It's shorter and certainly wider than most traditional jars, but it fits perfectly in my fridge and I could lower the top shelf an additional 3 inches. I don't brew tea in it so I don't know if it will stand up to the heat. very satisfied with my purchase and the seller.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

American Made Pitcher

I enjoy buying Made in America products and overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. It's a bit heavy when full, but it's glassy, which is what I wanted and expected. Holds a decent amount and is easy to clean. There is no handle but I take it by the neck for easier portability. In terms of size savings, there are others that would likely take up less space for the same amount of liquid they hold. But I like the fact that it's beautiful and made in the USA.

  • Quality Construction

Best Sun Tea Pot

Our family drinks A LOT of iced tea and we have 2 different shaped pots: regular and decaffeinated. We cannot use fragile glass containers as they will break when we put them to brew/in the fridge/on the counter. This is a good durable glass jar. We've had one like this for a long time. I mean 10-15 years. It eventually broke (my fault - smashed into the concrete) but I immediately ordered another one as this pitcher has taken MANY hits without breaking. love this shop.

  • Hands Free

  • Unbelievable Price

Suitable for hot and cold but not perfect

PROS: - heat resistant (takes almost boiling water well when brewing) - nice and thick CONS: - hole design makes it difficult to splash without pouring when almost full is, but with practice you will learn how to do it with minimum/no mess. - The lid is not completely closed. It's ok if you just flip it once/twice, but it won't take a lot of shaking. - Lack of a handle (although this is very slight as you can hold it by the neck fairly securely and even when the contents are hot the jug is too…

Best jug for the money

I have been using these jugs for over ten years now. They are very durable, although I should note that one of them broke after a few years of use when I quickly poured a full pot of boiling water into it (even then it didn't explode - just securely broke around the base, never cracked or caved in made a mess). However, I've used these hot water jugs a lot in the past to make iced tea - I think letting the water stand a bit or even pouring it more slowly will prevent breakage and I will…

My lid did not have a plastic seal as shown in the product photo

Anchor Hocking is a name that has been around for a long time and when I was looking for a glass jug it was one of the first brands to that I have tried. Most other brands I looked at had plastic lids instead of glass lids. The glass lid that came with this jug was a huge plus. Unfortunately when my jug arrived the lid I received did not have a plastic seal. As you can see from the product photos I posted with this review. Revain product photos show this seal and the jar is not airtight without

Suitable for hot and cold but not ideal

PROS: - heat resistant (takes almost boiling water perfectly when brewed) - nice and thick, spritz when almost full, although with practice you'll learn how to do this with minimal/no clutter. - The lid is not completely closed. It's ok if you just flip it once/twice, but it won't take a lot of shaking. - Lack of a handle (although this is very slight as you can hold it by the neck fairly securely and even when the contents are hot the jug is too thick to burn your hand). The previous jug I…
