Ancra luggage racks are best for transporting motorcycles or other equipment

Ancra luggage racks are best for transporting motorcycles or other equipment. The strap's canvas material is thicker, stronger, and stiffer than cheap cable ties found at auto parts stores, and won't stretch when wet. I recommend the cam buckle instead of ratchet straps for motorsports to prevent the user from overstretching and damaging the device, this is too easy with ratchet straps.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Empty

great holders, compare them to my 1983 set that I still have.

Bought my last set in 1983 and still use them while towing my car 60 miles from Melbourne, Florida to Orlando. My originals are old and almost colorless due to rain and weather, but still work perfectly. I'll try to take better care of her instead of leaving her in the back of my truck. They go with almost anything you want, but have bought them for motorcycles and none of them have let me down.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Out of fashion

High quality, worth the money.

I have some of these Ancra brand ties that are over 20 years old and finally need to be replaced because they are worn and the straps are worn with use. These new ones seem to be of the same high quality as the ones they're replacing, which is nice. The hooks are also larger to better fit my bike handlebars. Cheap belts are suitable for some things. For the big stuff, when you need quality belts you can't go wrong with these.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • There are nuances

Still the best ties in the world

I finally got myself a new pair of these. The last set I bought was 30 years ago and they are still holding up! I have friends who save up and buy a few bucks off when they buy this cheap skinny ratchet strap. They tie their cars with double and triple tie downs (and have to buy twice as many tie downs) all the time because they can't trust their tie downs! I've ridden bikes from one end of the country to the other and ridden the roughest forest roads imaginable and never failed the Ancra belt.

Pros
  • Self-confident
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

. ever found decent cable ties with good closure and properly shaped S hooks

Ordered 2 pairs of these after giving up the search for decent cable ties with good closure and properly shaped S hooks and a quality webbing in a product (or in local stores). And I was pleasantly surprised that they are made in the USA. The S hooks and buckles are even larger than what I had in the early 80's. The hooks are very nicely rubber covered - the whole hook not just the end. The belt doesn't appear to be as heavy as I remember, but I'm sure it will work within the specified…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Quality straps that I trust when transporting heavy loads

I bought these a month ago to use on my bike. Today when unbuckling my motorcycle seat belts, the silver metal part in the buckle broke when I pressed on it with my thumb. The silver item broke in 2 places and the pieces fell off like it was porcelain instead of metal. It looks like a manufacturing error. I have attached an image. I contacted Sline (the company that sells Ancra consumer products). The customer service phone number does not work and the email address listed on the website does…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
