Leaky and poorly made brass fitting

This fitting was a disappointment. Tools and Home Improvement should carry better-quality options. Through trial and error, I found that this fitting leaked and didn't fit securely. The only pro is that it is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The cons are the poor craftsmanship and lack of functionality. Save yourself the headache and find a better product.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting brass material.
Cons
  • Requires proper sealing to prevent leakage.

incorrect locations for tubing, fittings, and accessories

I ordered a 1 inch lead-free brass nipple to connect to make-up water lines. I have received items containing lead that cannot be used with water.

Pros
  • Operating temperature range -53 to 121 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F)
Cons
  • I will say nothing

Ideal for 1 " CPVC threaded connectors

I had my doubts about fitting 1" CPVC threaded connectors when ordering, but they fit Perfect! They were very helpful in installing the water softener. Make sure you have enough teflon tape on hand as there is a lot of thread to cover :)

Pros
  • Meets ASTM B584 and ASME/ANSI B16 specifications for quality assurance
Cons
  • Communicate with seller
