Three piece construction - nut, sleeve and body with attached insert. Use with copper, brass, aluminium, or plastic tubing. Standard fittings use short nuts. Easy to disassemble no flaring tool required. Primary uses water, gasoline, oil and vacuum lines. These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

Luckily I found this fitting

Needed something to change from 1/4 hose to 3/16 compression and it fit. I use this on an airbrush, I have a 3 gallon compressor with standard 1/4 quick disconnects. bright.

Pros
  • . This fitting contains lead and federal law does not permit its installation in drinking water supplies in the United States and its territories.
Cons
  • Only available in white

it's so hard to fit well Fittings

It's very difficult to find matching fittings these days. I'm repairing an old compressor and needed the right fitting for the job. it was, and it fit just right. I miss the days when I could go to the hardware store and find exactly what I needed. But it's second best to what I think

Pros
  • Mainly used water, petrol, oil and vacuum lines
Cons
  • Without automatic

Is it seconds? suitable for hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing

I bought two of these. One worked, one didn't. Both required the nut's hole to be enlarged with a file to fit the tube, while the ferrule fitted snugly. To top it off, the nut's threads weren't the same pitch as the fitting, so it was useless. We have to assume these are seconds that the delivery company or retailer refused and instead sell them one at a time on Revain.

Pros
  • Three piece construction - nut, bushing and body with attached insert
Cons
  • I will add later
