The filter is a disappointment. It's loud and doesn't seem to be very effective. The suction cups don't hold it in place very well either. The only positive is that it's easy to clean. Overall, I would not recommend this filter to other pet owners looking for a reliable and efficient option for their aquariums.

Great product! Replaces all Vortech defenses unlike other guards. The fit was great and effortless. I look forward to trying out the improved MP40 streaming style! PS: No anemones were harmed during this check...

I was very happy to get this as I didn't like the look of the MP40 with all the food stuck to it. So I bought 4 and put them on, two days later I found a dead anemone on them, it went right through. Doesn't work as intended, had to keep the old ones as they saved the anemone from being crushed a couple of times.
