🖤 Restorer for Black Surfaces – Angelus Paint, 2 oz Review

The first photo shows the boot is up, the black heel is worn. The second photo is the same boot I applied this product to and it looks brand new!

Follow directions for best results.; That means you need to carefully grind the defects first. Not me. Just had the soles painted by a restorer. The restorer works perfectly.

I applied three coats of these to my Jordan 1S plus a scratch resistant solution and they started peeling off right away. If you don't buy soles to apply underneath, it's a waste of money!

Before painting I taped the bottom of the shoe with tape (to prevent the paint from dripping into the sole of the shoe). The color is a rich black color so 1-2 coats is enough. I also put a protective film for the sole (available from Revain) as this type of shoe (actually a brand) always scratches the floor (see last photo).

I used this on a pair of black shiny tennis shoes with a white sole/bottom. It looked terrible because the white was just striking. I drew them before Oktoberfest and they turned out beautiful. You can see small stripes on it, but that's not really for this kind of shoes. It doesn't seem to have faded much. definitely worth buying

This paint is easy to apply, applies in one coat and looks very good. Unfortunately, it comes off easily when your boot hits the ground. For example, when I drive with my foot on the accelerator, the color comes straight from the heel of my shoes where my foot is on the ground. I can't wear them everywhere; only on certain events because I have to recolor them every time the color disappears. I applied two coats and applied her acrylic finisher on top but it didn't matter.

My shoes were in perfect condition except for the soles. At first they were black, but after being worn light brown patches appeared where the black had worn away. Even though the soles of my boots aren't visible when I'm standing in them, it still bothered me. I thought I'd try. It is very easy to apply and blends in perfectly with the rest of the shoe. You look new! I don't know how long it will be before it wears off but there was quite a lot in the jar and it was so easy to apply that…
