Don't take the black cable

The cable works fine for about 4 months but is starting to wear out. I would recommend you wicker as they are better quality. Mine is cracked and doesn't work. When trying to apply for a lifetime warranty I had to find the serial number. Unfortunately, since I had a black cable and the serial number was also black, it was practically invisible. So if you don't have a great eye and a good flashlight, go with a different color. I had to work very hard to make out the tiny numbers.

Lasted 2 weeks with Lightning cables

I bought this a while ago. After two weeks it stopped working. I remember reporting the issue and having to return the product to have it replaced - I'm sure I missed some fine print somewhere. I just gave up at my point and cut casualties as the situation had already wasted enough time. The cable, which Anker calls "the strongest cable in the world," should never have stopped working in such a short time. I have ordered other Anker products and have been happy with them; This cable was a…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Quick instructions

I've bought about a dozen Anker charging cables over the years and unfortunately double checked their warranty. Not her fault, but mine. My family has a lazy approach to electronics care and maintenance, but that's neither here nor there. To my surprise, their warranty claim was exactly as advertised. Answer a few questions on their website (Amazon part number, cable serial number, pictures, etc.), confirm the details with a representative via email, and your new cable should be delivered…

Finally a lifetime warranty

Anchor cables are my favorite full spec cables and while I understand why they don't have reversible connectors, it has always bothered me that they don't offer a lifetime warranty on such durable cables. My previous Lightning cable ended up with a hole right in the middle, but it's been so long that I can't find any purchase documentation to even attempt a warranty replacement. The serial number was off the cable and I couldn't find the right box in my stack of Anker boxes. However, it was my…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No automatic

This cable has been used in my car for road trips and has not been severely bent or stressed. After about 2 months of use, I noticed that the metal on the three prongs on one side of the Lightning connector (shown in the attached photo) had peeled away and only the opposite side was usable. A month later the cable stopped working with no obvious signs of wear that would explain the reason. I went through the "worry free" guarantee to get a replacement cable. I had to provide some information…

GREAT JOB ANCHOR - NO!

GREAT WORK ANCHOR - NO! FYI, customer service issues: I got tired of constantly buying a phone charger cord, so I bought Anker Powerline II cords for my whole family and this time spent more getting the ones that came with a "lifetime warranty". In March I had to call under warranty to replace the 6ft cable and when I did that I had to provide a receipt number and that's it - I have all the cable boxes and they have records showing that I've only ever replaced a 6 foot cable. I was told that a…

Yes, anchor cables are worth the price!

I used to think lightning rods were just wires. Right? Just a cable, plug and some plastic. Right? You don't have to think too much about it or pay too much. Just buy a cable. Although I've bought several Anker cables, I've also looked online and at discount stores for cheap cables. Rather than lugging around cords, I prefer to have cords where I use them. I have cables everywhere - at home, at work, upstairs, downstairs, in the children's room, in the car. With so many cables, it seemed like I

My years of experience with Anker

I don't know if I told you this, but for many years I have firmly believed that RICE IS RICE AND SALT IS SALT. But almost everything else in life you get what you pay for! Example BMW and KIA do the same. Bose and KOSS make speakers. In my world of extensive automotive knowledge, I base quality on what I call Honda standards. I have a Honda of rain suits called SURK. I have a Couch Honda called Lazy Boy. I own a Honda of almost everything Anker makes. I can continue with my Honda standards. The
