Enhance Radio Reception: AntennaX OEM Style (16-inch) Antenna for Toyota Corolla Review

Fits my 2006 Toyota Corolla after the factory antenna has decayed over the years. Installation is easy, unscrew the old antenna and screw on the new one. The radio works great.

I bought this antenna instead of a native one for my 2006 Toyota Corolla LE. My nephew installed it for me and everything went smoothly. While the radio reception is the same as the original.

I can't believe how quick and easy it was to replace the antenna on my 2006 Corolla. This time they did something that didn't last long. The antenna is a perfect replacement and the price was better than a site I was looking for parts for a Toyota that wanted $60.

I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla and my stock antenna is rusty, this new antenna was easy to install. All I had to do was crank up the rest of the old one and put this one in its place. I was impressed with how quick and easy it was to install as the Toyota dealer was much more expensive and would charge a $150 service fee for the replacement and the part was not included. Once installed, all my channels were as clear as the original ones.

This is my second AntennaX replacement. I first got the 7" version and it lasted about 2 years. But lately the plastic around the antenna has become brittle and has started to break off. Probably because the hot, sunny Hawaiian weather has hit it hard ordered a 16" this time which is more like the OEM that originally came with the car. Signals are picked up a little better than the 7" (don't get me wrong the 7" was good too but that 16" might be a bit clearer). Fits well, but let's see how long

I came home one day and found that the antenna on my 2003 Corolla was not there. I don't know why in general someone took it. After a long search I came across this one. Although the method of attaching the threaded insert to the antenna could be better (It turned out the first time I attached to the car) So far it seems intact The transmitters work well, the reception is the same or slightly better than the OEM I give 4 stars because of the gluing of the insert to the base.

I originally rated this short (5 inch) antenna 5 stars because I loved it the first few weeks I had it in my car. Now I'm giving it one star because it started changing color from black to copper even a month after I put this antenna on my car. I removed the antenna before every car wash so it has never been washed but somehow the black coating has completely peeled off the antenna revealing a copper colored antenna which looks horrible on my car.
