These items were a great replacement.

These parts were a great replacement. They were easy to put together to replace a broken brake handle. Great product at a great price.

Recommendation: Brake Levers

Replaced the levers on my Trek hybrid. These are mountain bike levers so they are a bit shorter than the stock levers. But they work great for me and look good. Easy to replace. I also replaced the cables, V-brake assembly and derailleurs. My bike now purrs like new.

Best Value Brake Levers

Fit these to my Specialized Rockhopper because the original Dia-Compe was missing a part. I chose them because they are a bit longer and my large hands allow me to grip the lever with three fingers and easily access the switches. I don't know why they are called "non-slip" but they do exactly what my hands want. Highly recommended.

Good and inexpensive; MTB only

Similar to other flat brake levers (I also bought the same Sora but $10 more). They only work with linear traction brakes (i.e. V-brake or MTB disc only) while the Sora set has 2 sets of holes in the handlebars, so they work with different types of brakes. I use flat bar road bike calipers so I had to drill new holes to change the gear ratio on them. If you have V-brakes or mountain discs this is a good suggestion, but they are not designed for center, side, cantilever or road disc brakes.

My factory brake broke

This was my first time replacing a brake so I had to find out on the side. The handle had to be removed. The gear selector had to be removed. The old brake had to be removed. The hardest part was removing the handle. I had to slip a screwdriver between the handlebar and the grip and then put some liquid soap in the grip. Taking the handle off and then putting it back on worked worked. The switch has a rubber boot that slides off and then a hex bolt that holds the switch to the handlebars. Took…
