It was so awful I didn't know where to start. Black is a cheap color that peels off instantly. The hinges don't open straight, some don't open and close properly at all, or are so deviated that the hinge doesn't exactly open 180 degrees. I would not recommend anyone to buy them for any reason. I would give them 0 stars if possible.

All but the two hinges I received were bent on arrival. If done right, you couldn't bend them with a hammer, but I could bend them straight with my fingers. The screws also barely go through the hinge itself and aren't strong enough to hold anything in place. I'm being serious, you can literally make a stronger loop out of leather and crazy glue.

I bought the hinges based on the description thinking the 3/4 inch size is the width of each side of the hinge. It turns out that 3/4 inch is the overall width when the loop is lying flat. A dimensional drawing of the hinge would be helpful. But the hinges are very decorative and perfect for small boxes, so I'll save them for future projects.

I was looking for cheap hinges and found this. What was really disappointing were the screws. They are complete rubbish! Even with pre-drilled holes in red oak, I broke 2 of the first 5 in my board. I had to move the hinge to hide the broken screws. Based on the results with the first loop, I used better screws, they don't fit together, but they hold without problems.

Very poor hinge surface. One side was closer to black than the other. I took a picture of them and then flipped them over so you can see the trim on either side. In the 3rd picture you can see that one of the corners is missing. And I couldn't open a loop. Some hinges opened smoothly, others were very tight and difficult to open and close. 😳 I'm not satisfied with the quality, so I'm sending it back.

Screws are black. There is no loop. Look at the photos. They don't even match the shade of the same color. They look like they've aged or something, but the box says 'black' and the screws are black. Very dissatisfied with it and cannot use it on the boxes I have made. I knew they would be cheap quality but at least I thought they would be black. To update.
