At first they worked as described, but I began to observe periodic signal drops, the frequency of which increased over time. I used three of them and one unused. I ended up climbing the pole to troubleshoot and the three would blink every few seconds or so. I replaced each one with an unused one and they worked with this one and the light was on constantly with the new splitter. Three more failed. They were assembled in a watertight box. I don't recommend them for this reason.

Works great just don't expect to use it on high powered equipment

These are great adapters that make it very easy to connect cameras and lights to power. One note: I was trying to power a large PTZ camera and it couldn't maintain a stable power supply, but the camera's standard power supply was 12 VDC / 3 amps, and while I haven't done the math I think neither this adapter nor mine TRENDnet's PoE switch just couldn't. This might be my switch to be honest, but I use them to power Amcrest bullet cameras and secondary IR and have had no problems. As it expands…

Easy POE connection for some IP cameras

POE 802.3af compliant power supply for my IP cameras. Each draws about 3 watts from my switch, so not too much. Will order more once I have a few more cameras.

Cheap and bad for network adapters

A couple of problems I found:1. Cannot withstand a sharp current surge at startup (less than 1.5A rated)2. Does not tolerate large current drops (experienced consumption from 0.75A to 0.0A, the LED went out)3. There are two versions of the board, one with more inductor and one capacitor. The seller sends both. The above issues were found on the "better" board, it is likely that the other board is also suffering from the same issues. It might work for low-power devices, but it just doesn't do…
