Works great with WYZE cameras

We are working on this project where we initially intended to use POE cameras. They decided to switch to WYZE cameras, so I had to apply the right voltage over Ethernet. They worked great with a TP-Link 5-port switch that provided POE.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Solution found! in network adapters

New house with network connections on the ceiling of two closets. I use Google Mesh and earlier, so POE is not supported. The splitter solved my problem of not wanting to use electricity. Port split POE switch and I have an access point on the ceiling and I don't need to use a separate power supply.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great PoE Camera Adapters

I used these to power my Wyze cameras over ethernet. The cable is long enough to run from the attic to the camera and power the camera perfectly. You do the work.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Good price for a pair of POE splitters!

Good price for a pair of POE splitters! They feature both Micro-USB and Ethernet passthrough, allowing them to power many standard devices. You can even use it to charge your phone if you want. This shows up on my POE switch as a class 0 device capable of delivering 15.4 watts, which is more than enough to power a Raspberry Pi or other micro-USB powered device. The biggest downside (if you can call it that) is that it's fast ethernet, but that will be more than enough for most devices that will

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I had a niche need and this item was perfect.

We had several security cameras installed around our home which were outdated when TIme-Warner (now a charter company) closed their home security department. I replaced the cameras with some Wyze cameras, cut off part of the network cable (with the power on) and used the PoE injectors I already had. Cameras are monitoring the perimeter of my house again! And I didn't have to redo everything or spend a fortune on new cameras (Wyze cameras are $25 max).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Solid performance. I had to set the switch to 100M.

They work exactly as advertised. No problem powering either my Pi3B or my Pi3B+. However, there is a catch with Pi3B+. To get a network connection I had to change my network switch settings to 100M for that port. If I left it on autonegotiate I wouldn't have gotten a link. It's not really the product's fault. This product has a 100MP IC (as stated in the description) and the Pi3B+ NIC has a 1000MP IC. This device messes up the autonegotiation of some switches. never mind It works.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • No

Bought this adapter for my Raspberry PI. I tried to get it working but ended up finding the adapter was defective. It turned out that a lot of dirt got into the RJ45 connector during the manufacturing process. This made it almost impossible to establish a reliable network connection. This adapter should NEVER be put through any quality control process. I'm convinced the manufacturer doesn't have a quality control process - it's a DOA adapter. Actually, both adapters were DOA. Given the poor…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • weak kit

Low-cost POE solution for Raspberry Pi

Got a POE switch for wireless access points or CCTV cameras? Want to access internet and power with a single cable to your small SOC while saving money? touch her They work great. No power alerts on 3B. They've been singing for months now. - 48-Port 500W Unifi Switch - Raspberry PI 3 B

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Got some nuance

Works as expected with Wyze Cam.

Works great no complaints so far. Used it as a way to power the Wyze Cam. Thought I might want to install a wired poe cam later, so until then this is a good alternative. It's also a great way to power 5V devices without having to run high voltage outlets throughout the house near the roofline, which can be unsightly, especially indoors.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Repair
