Description of APEC Water Systems FILTER MAX ES50 Replacement

APEC ROES-50 complete replacement filter set, compatible with most 10" standard under the counter reverse osmosis water systems. 1st stage 5 micron sediment filter to remove dust, particles and rust. 2nd and 3rd stage 10 micron extruded carbon block filter to remove chlorine, taste and odor. 4th stage high rejection tfc reverse osmosis membrane removes a wide range of contaminants. 5th stage standard capacity coconut shell carbon filter removes any last residuals.

These filters really work!

It's scary to see how much these filters filter out. We have tested our water in a variety of ways and always got the same results. One of the quick ways is water hardness. We're supposed to have some of the best water here on Long Island (obviously we spend a lot of taxes on it) but at 120-150ppm hardness I'd say we need to work a bit. When using a filter we are at 2ppm. I couldn't ask for more considering Poland Spring is 32ppm. Here are some photos before and after we changed the old filters

Excellent (of course original) filters!

Of course these are high quality OEM filters. A little effort. I wish the instructions were better. A sheet of instructions with not-so-good little numbers was ok, but it took a lot of effort to understand. Requires a key to open housing for 3 pre-filters. This key was included with the system. If you lost it, you should buy it! Replacing the 4th filter requires a 12+ inch wrench to open the housing. When installing the system for the first time, I manually locked the case; but after 4 years of

5th stage filter not compatible without system modification and additional parts not included in this filter kit

This filter kit is not compatible with ROES-50 , Because advertised. The 5th stage filter included in this filter set is not compatible with the original T-Connect screw included in the ROES-50 system! My original ROES-50 system included an F1-ES-TCR, but APEC supplied a 5th stage F1-ES-TCR-QC replacement filter with this replacement kit. I've already worked on this system for 3 hours this evening and googled for hours to figure out the problem. Turns out I need a new tee to replace the 5th…
