Incorrect wiring in replacement parts

Works well if you understand the wiring. For me, the yellow wire was normally open (to the positive wire). Green was normally closed (not used for beep), black was negative (beep and switch to negative on battery). red and blue connected for positive (switch and LEDs on battery). Hope this helps others connect them. If they had the correct wiring I would give 5 stars.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Updates available

Don't trust the instructions

As everyone says the instructions supplied are wrong. I trusted other reviews and they were wrong too. It seems that every switch can be unique. I have a red wire for ground and a green wire for hot. Bad choose. Testing takes less than a minute, so do it before you start installing. Another complaint is that the locking nut is on the back of the unit instead of the front. This complicates the installation on the dashboard. Low rating due to these issues. After that it works fine and looks good.

Again quality control wiring.

As many have said, the schematic has nothing to do with reality. Instead of sending it back you can mess with the voltmeter but after all the complaints about the production there is still no quality control. In my case for the horn button the yellow goes to the battery and connects to the red which is the LED. Blue is the positive signal and black is the negative signal and battery. Green is not used. Another downside is the thread length, which is only 1/2 inch. My boat's console is 1/2", so…

cool, but. on pushbutton switches

Very cool looking button and works well once you figure out the wiring for your particular application. And to confuse it even more, the green wire is where the yellow wire should be and vice versa. Thank you to the other reviewers who shared their experiences, a huge help. Black is lapped to the frame, Blue is normally open (NO), Green is normally closed (NC) (presumably yellow per manufacturer's instructions), Yellow connects to 12v from a battery or ignition that supplies 12v (according to…

Yes the wiring diagram is wrong it will explain better

Many reviews say that the wiring diagram is wrong. Which is good because it's wrong. The schematic shows this in colors that don't match my connector, and a connector that isn't the same as the one I have, but is commonly and usually reverse closed, like here (ignore the underline, Amazon doesn't like spaces) : ___+C NO NC___-C means common which is your battery or ground for your horn depending on how you connect it. NO means normally open, which means you press the button to activate that…
