I've been looking for a USB 2.0 hub with "folded" connectors that's surprisingly hard to find. USB 3.0 is known to interfere with 2.4GHz radios, so a 3.0 hub won't work for my needs. This hub is a very weak hub with blue output ports not typical of 2.0 ports so I was hesitant to even try it. In fact, he died about a week later. If you look at most of the positive reviews, they use it as a "power splitter", and while that's a horribly inefficient way of using it, I suppose it could be leaking…

The hub worked fine for about a day, but the keyboard and mouse started connecting very quickly. Within a week, the hub becomes unusable. The cable on this hub is very thin and feels cheap. I'm guessing that the wiring inside isn't very strong because when I move the hub around the table it works intermittently until something (like a mouse cable) lightly hits it or moves it. I went back to an older, bulkier hub. It's about 7 years old and still works great.

This failed on my Xbox One S but I'm not sure if this splitter is the problem after removing it I haven't tried anywhere else. I know the install worked for about a month before my Xbox even started. It took me 1.5 hours to even figure out what the problem was. I had an Xbox side fan, a hidden camera clock, a mini electronic fan (different from and in addition to the side fan) and my external hard drive was connected to this USB hub that plugged into the back of my Xbox. Very nice. I rated the 4th port on the end of the device for larger, bulkier items that might block other ports. I really liked the blue protective tape on the top and bottom of the device. I thought about leaving it on because it contrasts nicely with the glossy white. I can buy another one or two for my tablet for OTG purposes.

I don't like it at all. I thought this would be the answer to my problem. I love my Surface Pro, but it doesn't have many USB ports for additional devices like a mouse or number pad. For some reason it's not strong enough to hold anything that's loose and disables my entire mouse and keyboard. Aggravating. I missed the return window in frustration.
