I bought two packs of Aprilaire 35 water plates and installed one in September - didn't keep a log after installation, I noticed a leak which I couldn't explain. Taking a closer look at the Aprilaire, I removed the lid to observe the water flow and noticed a small hole in the panel. I bought this filter version for a whole house humidifier as did the paper versions. Easy to install as both the old and replacement filters have a red line showing where the top of the humidifier should be placed. I would recommend doing a quick test via the control panel after installation to make sure the water is flowing properly and there are no leaks.
