Great replacement for PUR

Great price. I let it run for a few minutes as PUR says in their instructions, the black stopped almost immediately. The flow rate was about the same as polyurethane and the taste was very good. I also use it to make coffee and am happy with the result.

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

The filter does not work

These filters should be an exact copy of the Pur faucet filter but they do NOT work. I tested the water quality with a new filter using a TDS meter. The indication for tap water is 144 ppm, for filtered water also 144 ppm. The real pure filter reduced the measured value to 108-110 ppm. Don't bother with these filters - it's better to drink tap water.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

I have a good tap water supplier to test this with.

These filters remove the chlorine taste and cloudy taste my water has during the summer months. I have a good tap water supplier as far as testing is done at the waterworks, so I'm not worried about bad things in the water, just chlorine and a cloudy aftertaste. These filters have good flow and remove off-flavors, so they're perfect for me.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • May be Harmful

Pros

Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I give this 5 stars for taste and performance. I don't really know how much dirt they remove compared to a real Pur water filter, so I can't comment on that, but I can say that they worked with my indicator, they actually had better water pressure (maybe because it's carbon and Pur is a reverse osmosis filter (I don't think 100% sure) and that they lasted just as long. So the choice is yours if you want to save a few bucks and use something more sustainable.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Disappear

Only recommended if your local tap water is already potable.

I have been very happy with these filters over the past few months. Flows faster than original OEM PUR filters, fits and works flawlessly. My only concern is that these filters don't actually have data to prove how well they filter, unlike pure OEM filters. I notice the difference in taste and am happy with it. Bottom line: I would only recommend these filters if your local tap water is already potable. I only use these filters as an extra precaution, they also improve the taste.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
