Aqua Tech EZ Change Aquarium Cartridge Filters Review

Aqua-Tech 10-20 EZ-Change replacement aquarium filter cartridge. I've been using this brand for 20 years. It's amazing how quickly it cleans the water of particles, algae and dirt. Charcoal keeps the water fresh and healthy for your fish.

These are aquarium filters. I'm not sure if they are better or worse than other brands but they work well. However these are hard to come by these days and I use a lot of these because my jerk turtle refuses to eat for days and if I don't catch him his food will dilute and clog the pump.

After a few weeks they look terrible. Based on that I think they are filtering out what they should. However, we still have to clean the tank every few weeks, so it's not magic. If you come across an aquarium process that does not require maintenance or cleaning, please let us know.

I don't know how well they work, but compared to the filters that came with my original pump, they are thicker which means water doesn't flow through them as well. I think they're still working on getting the larger particles out of the tank, but I'm wondering if we'll have to replace them sooner. Will update in future when I can.

I have to say I used to really like these filters but the cost has skyrocketed and there are no volume discounts. I bought 2 packs of filters and bought all the Revain "cartridge" filters. In 2014 they were $6.72 and in 2016 as an add-on they were $4.20 for a pack of 3 filters! That was great. BUT. The current price for a pack of 3 filters is $13.72 (2017), which is too much! I feel like my fish is being held for ransom. Time to look for another brand. Ironically, a brand new Aqua-Tech 10-20…
