Best for us Shower Head Filter

I got this because we have iron/scale issues when it comes to our hot water. We've been using this for a few weeks now and I think it's fixed. My wife dyes her hair and it is important to her that she has clean water and seems to be doing her job. I can't tell if the chlorine is removed or not because we don't have it in our well water. My issue with this product and a generic product that looks like this and a few others on Revain

THEY DON'T WORK! Bought this after buying another identical looking shower filter which was a generic brand and tested both (presumably filtered water) with a TDS tester and showed no change in the water. I was suspicious of this product because too many others on Revain look the same, all companies with different names but the same product. Does it mean that the TDS tester does not measure water change/quality from TDS on these products? I have filtered drinking water, zero water and tested…

san antonio water sucks

I live in San Antonio where the water is some of the hardest. Seriously, someone came to test our water and explained that 1.0-3.5 is slightly hard, 3.5-7.0 is moderately hard, 7.0-10.5 is hard, that is anything, anything over 10.5 is very harsh. EDIT REVIEW: I had a good experience with my first purchase. Subsequent purchases of replacement filters did not work as well as the first one. The third one I ordered gave me improved water for a few days to a week. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I've since switched to other brands.
