🐠 AquaClear 110 Aquarium Filter Replacement Media - Activated Carbon Insert, Model A622 Review

Needs to be replaced on my Aquaclear filter. The bag doesn't fit! I like to clean the filter when I change the water and because I do it so carefully there are holes in the bag and charcoal gets everywhere.

I am disappointed with AquaClear! Why do they keep changing model numbers?! It used to be AC 75 - for 40-75 gallon tanks - now the label says "formerly" AC 500 (which I didn't notice when ordering). In any event, the charcoal filter is not the correct size or shape for my AC 110 which I still have a box to indicate the name/size change to date. First of all, I really like the quality of the AquaClear pump. Increasing the size of the pump in my existing tank makes it consistently cleaner, the fish happier (yes there is such a thing) and a pump that runs cleaner too as it is designed for a much larger tank. However, the problem is that the inserts (filter, carbon and BioMaxx) are also designed for a larger tank. The pre-metered Biomax and charcoal are too large for a small tank, so you will need to scale down these areas as you increase
