I ordered this filter NEW, but received it used, without the original packaging and without instructions. I ordered NEW for a good reason. Any used filter can contain harmful bacteria and kill my fish. You failed miserably at that, Revane!

No me puedo quejar, tengo una pecera súper grande y aún así hasí muy buen trabajo. Me parece que en una pecera pequeña podría hacer mucho mejor función. Si lo colocas tal cual viene sin aumentar la longitud del tubo puede ayudar no solo a la filtration sino también a la oxygenacion.

I wish I could take a before and after photo. I installed the sponge filter about 2 hours ago. For several months he worked on a small HOB that worked well. But in a short time after installing the sponge filter, the water became so crystal clear that it makes a noticeable difference. From now on all my aquariums will definitely be equipped with sponge filters. Sometimes it's just better.

Love the fact that the great value filter comes with sponges and bio media. I give 2 stars for the suction power because it is very low. I like that about the filter. BUT, if you have bigger fish eating bigger food, that food will stick to those sponges and not get through the filter. Definitely recommend gravel to clean your aquarium a little more or more thoroughly during water changes.

Of course this filter is cheap, but whoever designed it needs a raise. This is done in such a way that you can easily clean and maintain the product. Each part can be disassembled for cleaning, even inside pipes. This is a sponge filter. Very happy with this product. I had to search YouTube videos for proper instructions on setting up this system, but once I got it working everything was fine. After about 10 days in a 15 gallon aquarium with 2 large (approx 5″) goldfish the green scum turned visibly brownish so I took them off and rinsed them really well in a container of water and was amazed at how much dirt there was was left in them. I love this filter. So one downside: these light green sponges don't keep their color for long and become dull and ugly even after rinsing. But I bought this filter for my 10 gallon balloon molly fry tank. There's virtually no suction, which is a huge relief and one of the reasons I bought it.
