I have three healthy salt water tanks. All 1.021 to 1.023 salinity according to my refractometer and the exact same hydrometer I bought a few years ago. I have salt water tanks on two floors of my house and I'm tired of lugging a hydrometer up and down the stairs every time I check the salt level. This new one is maxed out on all three tanks at once. Greater than 1.032, although I know they are all at or below 1.23. I don't expect a perfect measurement for these things, but that's ridiculous.

Until now when I used it, air bubbles stuck to the indicator arm, I had to look for something to stick it on top to knock the bubbles out. The salinity label is a different color BUT my 50 year old eyes have a hard time telling the difference. I paid a few bucks more for an instant ocean hydrometer because it looks legible in the picture. I was wrong. So far this block has worked perfectly. When comparing it with my friend's more expensive tester, I get exactly the same readings as his. Follow directions and rinse with fresh water after each use for accurate readings. Salt water has caused the lettering or the e where the reading is showing to come off a little, it's not a big deal and not all at once as I would expect with multiple uses in salt water.
