Perfectly polishes my aquarium water, without this filter my water would be muddy because I use a dirty substrate. They are easy to clean and very large so they last a while between cleanings.

I used this filter sock when changing the filter and put the filter outlet in it. When I change the filter there is still dirt in it, I don't fully clean my filter so it still has good bacteria in it and that's how it fouls my tank. Well it helped, all the dirt came out and the filter caught it. I even bought a brownish liquid filter.

Excellent quality machine washable product. I can wash more at once. In my 75 gallon low bioburden reef facility they seem to get washed about every two weeks. I assume that in most installations you will be doing a weekly flush or filter change.

They are really big. I use them to shut off the water outlets when doing water changes and/or cleaning filters. Much of the slime that builds up in the hoses or impeller housing is released when I reset the filters and clogs my freshly cleaned tank. By placing them on the outlet nozzles, you catch any residue that may escape. The drawstrings on these are inadequate so I would hesitate to place filter material here for use in a canister filter without using a zip tie or other tensioning tool.

I don't have a sump but they are great for my bottom fed tank which has 2 plecos, an algae eater, 2 brown catfish and lots of poo. Luckily the poo is on the sand but I still have to pour too much water in to clean it. I make my own DIY cut to fit the PVC pipe, insert the sock into the pipe, insert the PVC pipe and sock into the bucket, attach to the bucket with a tie clip or whatever (whatever works). and let the water siphon through the sock to filter.
