What about the product? I was so excited to use it after hearing all the good reviews about it at local fish shops and Susie's help, but I'm trying to install it in my fish tank. The cup kept losing its grip so it was swimming in mine the whole time Tank so I guess she's not for me but if they could fix those suckers I would buy her

This is a really great product. I have suffered from algal blooms since my first aquarium a long time ago. I tried my 55 gallon which was so bad you couldn't see the fish unless they were within two inches of the glass. After seven days, the clarity was amazing and the chemistry excellent. Fantastic product and I recommend it to everyone.

UV works. I had an algal bloom in my saltwater pool and this cleared up in 3 or 4 days. It's a bit big for my 30 liter aquarium but should be fine in larger tanks. My main complaint is that the filter is incredibly difficult to get back once it's removed. You also have to take pretty much everything out of the tank to get to the filter, making cleaning difficult.

I ordered this product, the first one I received was broken (UV lamp broken). a precaution, so it didn't fix any problems in my tank, but it didn't show up either. Easy to install and I love the fact that there is a small viewing window just below the blue valve that controls the flow rate so you can see the UV lamp through when it is on, a great way to see whether the bulb is burned out (requires some guesswork).

Most of these UV sterilizers seem to have problems with the frequently leaking bulb. I've never gone that far. The instructions say to disassemble the UV lamp and check the operation. I got a slight glow when I first tried it, but that was it. After a quick call to AquaTop (the phone number wasn't in the documentation, I had to surf the internet) they offered to check that the pear was seated correctly. I did that, but now it didn't work at all. I called again and they let me check the power…
