Fits almost perfectly in matching tank, almost. I bought an Aqueon aquarium about two years ago. It comes with a custom-fit, durable plastic case with a slightly textured finish. This interchangeable hood is made from a lighter, thinner material with a smooth finish. It has a bit of play in the fit where the original had a tight fit.
