I like the size of the tank, the light at the top is pleasant, the sides are transparent (not superplastic) are visible. The filter seems big for a tank. It takes up a lot of space and is too strong for the bettas I had in the aquarium. I removed the filter and kept the tank but would like to just buy this tank with no filter or a different tank altogether.

firstly the lid does not fit on the tank so it constantly hits the water because it has a slightly different shape than the tank. I thought maybe the plastic would sag a little if water got in, but no, it doesn't get any better. Second, within four months, the power to the light and pump went out. If I could give this system less than one star I would.

The manufacturer doesn't tell you until you buy and receive the product that you need to order a very small filter sponge and an aquarium heater (not included). If you are new to the aquarium hobby and attempt to use this product, you may be disappointed. You have to search and find the missing parts and pay extra for it. There is no recommendation in the product description for these parts, which are required before you can use the product.

I ordered two of these tanks and one came with a scratch so deep I was concerned the tank might leak so I'm sending it back. The filter on the other tank only ran for a few minutes and then stopped. I will try to use a filter from a returned tank but this experience doesn't give me much confidence in this product. Will be updated as events progress. My aquarium had a warped lid that does not adhere well to the aquarium and rattles. The filter is quite large and fits in the aquarium. This severely limits any decoration you can craft. Overall a good aquarium. Easy assembly, good filter. I appreciate the small opening for easy feeding, the handy light switch and the wide opening in the back for filters and water heater (heater not included). What I don't like is the plastic. There were a few abrasions on the tank that I thought would be erased immediately, but they aren't. If it weren't already tuned, I'd be tempted to send it back in hopes of getting it scratch-free.
