I was a little wary because of the low price tag, but I was pleasantly surprised. I used it to pull a pulley off a motor shaft that I couldn’t get off by hand or with prying. I heated the shaft and the pulley with a torch and let it cool to break it free from rust or corrosion inside. I put the gear puller on and used an impact driver and it pulled it off slowly but surely. I put a socket in between the shaft and the screw when the gear puller bottomed out and it was a success. Price was outstanding. Very nice materials throughout however came from the factory stiff as a board and in order to have any kind of utility I had to loosen all the nuts which started to fall off as I was trying to remove the harmonic balancer on my '03 Dakota. But I did replace the factory nuts with lock nuts and this solved the problem of the nuts and bolts falling off. I had the lock nuts so for the price, and excellent value hands down!

My boyfriend has been using this for months and he works for AAA roadside assistance. Still work like nee The handle is not ergonomically designed, making it uncomfortable to use for extended periods.

First time I wanted a chintzy puller.Having bought a few of these over the course of time, I expected it to be a moderately thin clawed puller. . .which is what I wanted.This is thick. Which isn't bad, just I need to grip a tiny gear & figured this would have been more universal that way.Nothing wrong with it, I stuck it in the garage for other things that need pulling, & will search for a smaller gear puller.Seems pretty stout, & made well. Should be around for some time.

What a very handy tool this 4-inch gear puller is! I had to remove two front axles from my niece's car and this made it a breeze to remove them. This is a well-built unit that I'm sure if I have a need in the future will be there to take care of the job at hand. Highly recommend!

I used this to pull my wheel hub off the axle of my rer snapper. It was extremely stuck rusted on. I used heat, hammer taps, and penetrating lube while using this gear puller. It was flexing some and i was worried about it stripping out as i ended up hooking a breaker bar to it. It held up and achieved pulling the hub off. For the money it cost it paid for itself.

Bought to replace rear wheel bearings on 2004 VW Jetta. First side went off no problem. Second side the threads stripped out on the puller halfway into the job. I had another gear puller that finished the job.There is so much play on the main bolt that it is bound to happen. I don’t know if that is part of the quality control they have. I have another puller and it doesn’t have the play in it but it was 3 times the price.Wouldn’t buy again and I’d be cautious on this one, you may get stuck…

I have a socket that split and I have submitted warranty through the website that customer service said to and I have not received the replacement or any feedback from the company. It is the 21 mm socket out of this set.

The finish on them is a little rough in texture but is even and consistant unlike other imlact sockets I've purchased. The wall thickness is same as new craftsman sockets which is thin but sufficient. I havent used them a lot since I've only had them for 1 month but have confidence they will last for years. I love the included tray tonkeep them neat in my toolbox drawer.
