The box is solid and easy to install. The ad didn't mention an "adapter" for use with 4X4 racks, but I was able to easily make one by simply cutting a piece of wood and mounting it on top of the rack. Then they installed the mailbox on wood.

Front closure finished with plastic. Three cracks in the plastic. It couldn't stand the Ohio weather. I'm glad it was already corrupted before I installed it. Once it's cracked, the door won't latch, keeping the mail dry. upset. I'm glad Revain cares about the customers.

Specs show a width of 9.2. I had to install it on a 7 inch surface. I had to build an existing wooden post but it looked ridiculous so I just returned it. It's a nice block but too narrow. Also, the hinge for the door is made of rivets, which will rust quickly. It is made in China. Gibralter's mailbox, made in the good old USA, looked better, if not as pretty.
