Description of ARCTIC P12 PWM 120mm Case Fan - Pressure-Optimised, Very Quiet Motor, White/White

OPTIMISED FOR STATIC PRESSURE: During the development of the new P12 PWM, special emphasis was placed on a focused airstream and thus a high static pressure. 200 TO 1800 RPM REGULATED VIA PWM: Thanks to 4-pin connector, the RPM can be regulated in a broad spectrum via PWM, noise is kept at a minimum while maximum cooling performance is given when needed. MORE EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY: The motor is powered by a Neodym-Iron-Boron-Magnet ring of the newest generation, which allows the new P12 PWM to run much more efficiently than its predecessors. EXTENDED LIFE SPAN: A 10 °C lower motor temperature roughly doubles the life span of a fan, the new ARCTIC motor has a four times longer service life through its low coil temperature. TECHNICAL DATA: Fan speed: 200–1800 RPM, Airflow: 56.3 CFM/95.65 m3/h (@ 1800 RPM), Noise Level: 0.3 Sone (@ 1800 RPM), Pin: 4-pin

Modem fan! - Fans and Cooling

My modem got very hot so I bought a DC splitter, some extra PC fan cables and this fan. (A. and soldering station. and solder. and heat shrink tubing. and flux. and.) I was able to solder the fan wire to one end of the DC power divider. That way I can connect the modem to one end and connect the fan to the other. The fan uses a 12V power supply, as do most things, like a modem. By splitting the power supply I now have a cool little rig to keep my modem cool and I don't have to add a second…

Pros
  • Case Fan
Cons
  • Hardly ever

Blown off the case Fan

Got them as the Arctic AIO gets so much praise (although what an ugly machine) along with a Noctua fan for comparison as those reviews are good too. This fan was quieter at 1800 max speed than the Noctua at 1500 max speed which made a whirring noise and this fan is half the price! Not sure what cools and/or pushes out more air but I don't care as I prefer noise.

Pros
  • Computer components
Cons
  • Some trouble

Annoying hum at high speeds

This is a test of a 120 mm white 4-pin fan with a maximum speed of 1800 rpm "ARCTIC P12 PWM". I bought this fan to build up my white PC. I wanted a minimalist 120mm white fan that wasn't too loud. This is the loudest fan I have on my PC. It's even louder than my standard Corsair radiator fans. The product description states that it is a low-noise motor. However, this fan generates a loud, high-frequency hum at maximum speed.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

The best beat on the dollar. Big fans.

I bought Arctic P-12 fans for my case, also because they are all white. And I was very impressed with how quiet they are. Amazing performance for the price. You get the performance of a Noctua fan for half the price.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • For old

Very quiet even at full throttle.

Operates under dB the ear can hear, no howling at SPD. Doesn't feel cheap. PWM works great. Would definitely buy/recommend again!

Pros
  • Fans and Cooling
Cons
  • Sad Equipment
