Not Worth the Investment

Using this product, our team found that the distortion was too significant to be corrected in post-processing. The only pro of this lens is its compatibility with Arduinos and Raspberry Pis, but the cons outweigh it. We would not recommend this lens to anyone looking for high-quality photography as the image quality is poor, and the distortion is overwhelming. Save your money and invest in a better quality lens.

Pros
  • Wide angle view for enhanced image capture
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with certain camera models

Project Toolkit Required

I have to admit I was initially skeptical about these lenses; However, once we started using them to figure out which lens would work best for each project, this set has become invaluable. The quality of the product was amazing and the Arducam team also responded to our request very quickly. We have now purchased both sets and these will be the tools that every engineer in the field will use. We highly recommend this.

  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Mixed results but good to have options

I ordered this set of macro lenses: specifically automated scanning of 16mm film frames for digital video production. I was initially very excited about the "Low Distortion" label on this product. Although the lens has less fisheye, I see more blur around the edges than the original lens that came with my Arducam. I see some improvement in the focal area of the photo, but at the expense of the edges. Very faint but definitely present, see #38 on the left of the photo. I'm not an optics expert…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No car
