A great alternative to the banned technical suit for swimmers 12U

Excellent value for money. We bought this for my 10 year old daughter for the west zones. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and can get in and out on her own. It is approved for 12u and is not banned by US swimming for that age group. There was a big scandal in our area.

Pros
  • New padding built into the upper front of the suit and extending to the back of the leg providing more support and compression in specific areas; Improves body and leg support allowing the swimmer to remain stable and strong in the water
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Love Powerskin ST, hate Powerskin ST 2.0

My daughter was wearing the Arena Powerskin ST. She has two of them and she really likes those costumes. We bought the Powerskin ST 2.0 and were very disappointed. The size doesn't quite fit and the material is too stretchy. She is a women's size 24 in Powerskin ST and fits perfectly. For a Powerskin ST 2.0 woman, size 24 was huge. We tried a women's 22 and a youth 28 (according to the Arena sizing chart, it's between a youth 28 and women's 22), both were huge. Then we bought a youth size 26โ€ฆ

Seams came undone on first use and again when changing suits

My daughter was very excited to compete in her first technical suit. She pulled it on and off very carefully. Unfortunately, about 2 inches of the stitching came undone on the first day of competition. She had no activities/catches/anything that could cause harm. We both expected more from the investment. We requested a replacement which was delivered quickly with good service (and we sent back the defective suit). She wore a change of clothes this weekend. Exactly the same thing happened - inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 71% Polyamide, 29% Elastane
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
