Surveillance is the best tool for ball joints and tie rods

Make sure you get the right size. I had to go up the size and it worked great! The jaws were about 2 inches wide, which wasn't enough to get past the Pittman I had in my Tahoe.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Boring Kit

The product broke on first use.

When attempting to remove the bipod arm, one of the puller legs broke. It looked like a casting error. I signed up with Ares and they said they would email. Never received from them. Now I have to see if they honor the warranty.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some issues

That was my last resort

I bought this puller as a last resort to remove the bipod handle from the steering box on my old rusty VW bus. I've tried a pneumatic percussion fork and a universal two arm puller to no avail. I was about to give up when I found this little gem at Revain. I've read reviews from other people who have used it and with a little penetrating oil it came out pretty quickly. I've read that the happiest reviewers said to tighten the puller a bit and then repeat. Went like clockwork. It paid off…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Good but not great
