Description of Ares 43008 - 1/2-Inch Drive Flex Head Electronic Digital Torque and Torque Angle Wrench - 25-250 ft/lbs (34-340Nm) - +/- 2% Accuracy - Reversible Thumb Switch - Multi-Alert to Prevent Over-Torquing

SPECIFICATIONS: The ARES 1/2-Inch Drive Flex Head Electronic Digital Torque and Torque Angle Wrench measures within 25-250 ft/lbs (34-340Nm) with an accuracy tolerance of ±2% clockwise and measures torque angle with 3 separate modes: Peak Torque, Torque Angle and Peak Torque Angle. The easy-to-use digital LCD interface lets you adjust your specified torque with the push of a button and switch between five units of measurement: Nm, ft/lbs, in/lbs, kgf/m, and kgf/cm. DESIGN: This digital torque wrench features a multi-alert system to help ensure you do not ever over-torque a bolt. When your specified torque is reached, the proprietary ergonomic comfort grip handle will vibrate, a audible buzzer will sound, and the LCD display back light will flash and then light up a solid red color to let you know it’s time to release. Each torque wrench also offers ten presets, so you can save and select your most frequently used torque and angle settings. FLEXIBILITY: Each electronic digital torque wrench features a flex head ratchet design with peak torque, torque angle, and peak torque angle modes, so you can get exactly the right torque in exactly the right position. The “Peak Torque Angle” mode measures specified torque and immediately measures torque angle so you can torque down and finish tightening without needing to remove the wrench from the bolt. Each torque wrench is calibrated before shipping and meets and exceeds ANSI/ASME standards. RELIABLE | EFFECTIVE | EFFICIENT: Users trust ARES to be quality tools. Perfect tool for accurate torque measurements

The ARES digital torque wrench is an excellent addition to any automotive technician's toolbox. Its compact design and easy-to-read LED display make it very user-friendly. The torque range is spot-on and ensures accurate results every time. The grip is comfortable, allowing a firm hold while in use. The only downside is that it only measures up to 2 inches, so it's not suitable for larger projects.

Pros
  • Accurate, easy-to-use, comfortable grip
Cons
  • Limited to 2 inches

Very easy to set up and use

Swivel head and easy installation. As a heavy equipment mechanic, I have to pre-tighten and angle-tighten many fasteners.

Pros
  • CONSTRUCTION: This digital torque wrench has a multiple warning system so you never over tighten a bolt. When the specified torque is reached, the patented ergonomic comfort handle will vibrate, a beep will sound and the LCD backlight will flash and then turn solid red to let you know it's time to let go. Each torque wrench also offers ten presets so you can save and select your most commonly used torque and angle settings.
Cons
  • Nothing

Gasoline 65 miles round trip city + battery + time = up to 01:00

Easy setup. Fits well in my large hands. so fat, the only thing i played around with. I spent $165 and had no battery. The case sucks and I need to add some foam to keep it from moving in the case. I know whining about batteries is a small thing. but for the money it costs it would be nice to use rather than drive 65 miles back and forth to town and buy them. had to use it when i got it to bolt the heads on my truck. needed in the morning. Gas + time + batteries = until 1am to get ready. if not

Pros
  • FLEXIBLE: Each Electronic Digital Torque Wrench has a flexible head ratchet design with maximum torque, torque angle and maximum torque angle modes to help you get just the right amount of torque exactly in the right place. Peak torque angle mode measures the specified torque and instantly measures the torque angle, allowing you to reduce torque and finish tightening without removing the wrench from the bolt. Each torque wrench is calibrated prior to shipment to meet and exceed ANSI/ASME standards.
Cons
  • Speed
