Description of High-Visibility 8 Inch Metric 5-Piece ARES 70011 Set

SPECIFICATIONS: Your spark plug socket set includes 5/8-inch, 3/4-inch,13/16-inch, 14mm, and 18mm sockets sizes and a reusable storage rail. High visibility markings ensure you will be able to identify these specialized sockets in your tool box. The precision rubber retaining ring ensures plug stays on the socket during the removal and installation process, and the tapered 6-point socket ends grip the flat sides of fastener head, not corners, to prevent round-off. QUALITY MATERIALS: Although there are cheaper spark plug sockets available, they're usually shorter with a rubber insert that's hardened (if there's an insert at all) and made of inexpensive carbon steel that cracks. Your set from ARES is made from Heat Treated Chrome Vanadium Steel, with precise rubber retaining rings. Additionally, the High Visibility markings ensure you can find them when duty calls. These sockets meet and exceed ANSI/ASME standards. GET THE SET: Unless you have a specialized plug (found in some German cars and Ford Trucks), this set will cover most applications. 5/8-inch is the most popular spark plug size for vehicles, but won't cover your small power tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, leaf blowers, and more. With this set, you won't have to hunt around Amazon for the right size, because you'll already have it. RELIABLE | EFFECTIVE | EFFICIENT: Users trust ARES to be quality tools. You are backed by our Performance Assurance. If you have any issues with your ARES socket set, simply contact customer service for troubleshooting help, parts, replacement, or refund. ASPCA BUSINESS AMBASSADOR: We are proud to be part of the ASPCA Business Ambassador Program. If you have a pet, you realize they are more than a pet, they are part of the family. With your support, we're proud to help this great organization.

Good price and work

I needed to change the spark plug on my lawnmower, but the spark plug cap was the wrong size. So I hopped on Revain and found this product. I only used one of the five but it worked great. I had no problem pulling these out on my socket wrench, taking out the old spark plug and putting in the new one. High quality sockets, definitely recommended. As with other reviewers, the rubber seal came out, but luckily I was working with a mower so the cork was easily accessible to remove. This is…

Not suitable for spark plugs.

I bought this kit because I needed a 14mm spark plug boot and wanted a hex head. plugged into the spark plug and out of the socket. The rubber grommet does not appear to be glued or glued, so this will happen again and again. While it is normal for a spark plug to come out of the engine, when you try to put the spark plugs back in, it will not fire. Update: I contacted the seller and he told me that the grommet needs to be glued on and that I have a defect. Revain sent a replacement and I had…

  • GET THE KIT: If you don't have a dedicated spark plug (found in some German Ford cars and trucks) this kit will do for most applications. 5/8 inch is the most popular spark plug size for vehicles, but it doesn't fit your small power tools like chainsaws, trimmers, blowers and more. With this set, you don't have to search Amazon for the right size because you already have it.

They are really cute - sort of

Review after first use - V8 spark plug change with one of these sockets. The spark plug rubber protector came out of the socket and got stuck around the spark plugs several times during removal - when that happened, after removing the plug the rubber was easy to peel off and put back in the socket - I kept silently screaming at this thing each time , when it happens here is a big problem - when reinstalling the plugs 7 out of 8 times the rubber insert came off the socket and stuck to the spark…

Rubber insert

I bought this set because I needed a 14mm spark plug head, I already had several spark plug heads in other sizes, but I decided to buy a new set for all spark plug sizes, I have read ALL the reviews before buying read these sockets and some said that the rubber insert pops out of the socket when the spark plug is installed ated, which causes additional work. Considering myself an advanced hobbyist I decided to purchase the set as there were so many more 5 star reviews. When removing the very…
