Broken No response from company support

The puller broke on the first use with a short ratchet. No response from Ares Support when I requested a replacement. Lifetime warranty is useless.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Works as I hoped, best on steering and suspension tools

I bought this to replace my linkage and/or anything I need or want to change on my Jeep. Used yesterday (steering arm puller and tie rod end puller), worked great!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No instructions

Previously worked well with ball joint and tie rod tools

Used the linkage puller twice and worked fine both times. I checked the ARES brand first and planned to buy the OTC brand but both were similar and this one arrived earlier and at a slightly lower price.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Updates

Better than expected

I bought this set to work on my truck. Oh my god what a time saver. This is amazing, much better than I thought. Trust me when I say tough. He got the Pitman off my GMC truck without bending down. If you like crafting like me, this is your tool at a good price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad but...

very cool tool set!

Just used my new Ares front end maintenance kit! And wow! I have been working in the automotive industry for over 30 years. And now I have my own repair shop here in Texas. I used the tie rod tool from this kit and it worked great! Just put some lube on the threads first so you don't damage them and you should be fine. Very good sentence!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Without automatic

Great quality for an old mechanic's price

Now I've used several pullers or snaps and the tools work great. I do NOT use an impact wrench. I use a long 1/2 inch striker rod. I also tap the joint with a hammer while tightening the bolt and each individual joint snaps open without damaging the rails or the boot (if the joint has a boot). Certainly better than pounding on a brine.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Weight
