Ideal solution for home security systems

If you're familiar with this system, this motion-activated spotlight camera definitely won't disappoint. The light output is exactly what I was looking for. I just want the moving light to be usable even without "arming mode" and am deducting 1 star for that reason. This is the answer for those of us who don't have a group box or junction box in the area where we want to add light. Combined with Arlo's 25ft charging cable, it makes the perfect combo. I used a drop wire management kit to hide…

Pros
  • Light up your property - 2000 lumens of brightness or up to 3000 lumens with an external magnetic charging cable
Cons
  • Secret

Just a word of caution for home security systems

I have a Pro 2 with 7 days of storage and I think this spotlight will have this 7 days free storage option but after a free 3 months subscription this camera is just a glorified limelight. I called arlo customer service, they told me that this headlight will work with the arlo 3 substation just like my pro 2 with 7 day storage. So I bought the Pro 3 substation but to my surprise the Pro 3 needs a subscription to work properly. After your free 3 months, Pro 3 cameras are practically useless. All

Pros
  • Respond quickly - listen and speak to visitors at your door with clear two-way audio
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Arlo excels in security and surveillance

I've had this for a few days now. Decent camera. Good video output, strong and stable WiFi. I have 2 other Arlo cameras and I really like them. However, this is a loss of 2 stars for greed on the part of the company. This is a headlight. The battery is draining and I expect this, but I have 2 other Arlo products and power cords and just charge them, but now they have decided that you need to buy a separate $50 outdoor cord to charge it during the charging use. I need another one in my backyard…

Pros
  • Blends well with others - works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit and Samsung SmartThings
Cons
  • Available in white only

Don't forget to add the $50 cable.

I've been using Arlo cameras for 2 years and I really like them. The best thing about them is that they can be installed almost anywhere and I always make sure the power cord is there so I don't have to keep changing batteries. I currently have 3 Arlo Ultra 4k cameras all using Wasserstein power cables with no issues. When I bought this fixture I ordered the same cables as the fixture uses the same cable connector as the Ultra 4k cameras. I like Wasserstein because they are reasonably priced…

Pros
  • No hub required, direct Wi-Fi connection
Cons
  • No power

Updated on 12/31/20 - now it is clear. IF you unsubscribe from a paid subscription, you MAY record to a flash drive connected to an Arlo hub. As strange as it may sound, the only way to view these videos is to unplug your flash drive from the Arlo hub and plug it into your computer. Which is not comfortable at all. update 1.10. – Arlo says in product response "Smart (subscription) required for Pro 3 Floodlight for cloud storage. Without Smart, videos can be saved when the Pro 3 Floodlight is…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear

I bought this camera to warn me when cars were approaching my house. Image quality: I have attached three images showing objects 2-3 meters (6-9 feet) from the camera. The first two are in full daylight, but you can barely see the face and the number plate is illegible. These two screenshots are the best shots I could find in a video saved with motion detection. The last photo is at night, the car is stationary, the room is completely washed out. This happened when using both: IR or Spotlight…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
