I really like this tree! It has a nice fabric and you can feel the quality, but if your cat likes to jump fast then this tree is not for you. My cat fell off very quickly after just trying to walk on it. Gave it to my brother for his cats and it works better for him because they are calmer. This is such a great product for the price! I bought it for my cats for Christmas. I have two cats who are about a year old and they use it all the time. This scratching post looks nice and is very soft but unfortunately my cat doesn't get close. We did everything we could, including putting in some nice soft towels (the inside of the box isn't covered in the same soft carpet) and sprinkling treats and catnip on top. We have several cats and the kittens love it. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it's pretty unstable. If you put it against a wall or mount it on a wall, it is sure to be much more stable. Or attach a better base to it. We saved money by buying this over other very expensive cat towers. The stand is a little wobbly, it's actually pretty wobbly but that doesn't stop cats from using it. I put up a tree and my cat (who ironically has no claws) used the scratching post all the time. This scratching post was amazingly affordable and I have no regrets buying it. My cat (a kitten at the time of purchase) climbed on it immediately and loved the little ball you can attach to the top.
