ARP 912 0005 Thread Cleaning Chaser Review

I recently purchased a thread cleaning tool and it has made all the difference in my automotive projects. Through trial and error, I found that this tool was the most effective in cleaning up old, rusty threads, saving me time and money on unnecessary repairs. The stainless steel construction ensures that it's a durable tool that will last in my toolbox. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but it's worth the investment for a quality tool that delivers results.

Now I understand why they say the threads should be cleaned as there is a lot of sealant and grit left on them. Thread Chaser worked great and I'm glad I got it. I don't want to go back to the engine to swap out the head as I mixed up the torque due to sealant residue or dirt.

A typical ARP tap, it worked well but was very expensive. Typical metric thread bit sets that cover multiple sizes, both male and female, don't cost much more than this. It has the advantage of being longer than most. At least it's cheaper than ARP threads for LS head screw holes.
