This book is fine. I like the books written by Sue Walters better because she is much better at guiding the reader on how to use the different firing techniques. There are some pretty patterns in this book. There is also a good discussion on how to burn leather.

This is an excellent reference for novice and experienced pyrographers alike. I doubt cloth will burn, and also doubt that some of the materials she suggests burning when made with glue can be very toxic to the pyrographer. However, I found the templates, methods and information very helpful.

Laura Irish is one of the finest pyrography artists, teachers and writers and this book clearly demonstrates her talent both in the art and in the way she simply explains the techniques of this fascinating art. This book covers so much for both beginners and experts.
