I'm a beginner but I think this is good pencil paper (my goal). Random texture suitable for colored pencils. I checked how well it holds the print, for example for embossing a name. For that it works fine.

This paper is good for beginners with pastel pencils. I can hardly paint over the paper with pastels. It just doesn't seem to fill in the creases, resulting in your artwork showing tiny paper lines. Like I said, this is great for beginners. If you want to try the best quality paper without spending too much money, I recommend getting a sample pack. I'm only giving this bad review because not only are the pages glued to the top of the notebook, all the other pages are glued together well. I bought these notebooks to take out the pages and turn into a sketchbook, but since each page is glued to the next, the edges of my sketchbook look ripped and torn. This notebook is not designed to remove pages from it and I honestly don't understand the purpose of this design. Also note that the paper size is not exactly 9" x 12". It measures 9 and 1/16
